FAQ
Reusable bags in any condition are accepted. Cotton, canvas, polypropylene, polyester, nylon, etc. We do not accept thick plastic film “reusable bags” commonly sold at the checkout where single-use plastic bags are banned.
Unfortunately, there isn’t a great story for end-of-life with the thick film options. Plastic bag recycling receptacles at grocery stores technically collect these bags for recycling. Still, due to insufficient recycling infrastructure for film, we’ve learned that most of these end up incinerated or landfilled.

It depends on where you are located and how much the package you’re sending weighs. All bags are sent to Chico, California. Check with your local USPS office for options.
It depends on what condition they are in. Usable bags are donated to local food banks to use for food distribution, unusable bags are collected, sorted, and recycled through a recycling partner.

You’ll also receive helpful information, updates, and tips on ways to reduce your impact and work toward a zero-waste lifestyle.
